Our Adventure

Our adventure with  Keeshonden started in 2002 in Poland when we got our first dog Cindy  from Gromowych Wierchow (PL). We came across the breed trying to find dog which is good with children as my daughters were 1.5 and 3 y.o. at the time.

Martyna, the youngest one was born with cerebral palsy and I was trying to find dog  suitable for therapy. Cindy came to us already 6 months old as at that time breed was very unknown and there were only 92 dogs recorded of this breed in Poland. She immediately moved in to Martyna's bedroom and they were inseparable. Martyna was 18 months old at that time and her mental and physical development was delayed. Two weeks later our daughter started to show interest in Cindy trying to follow her and crawling everywhere to follow her four-legged friend .

Cindy was mainly a family companion but she also took part in a few shows over the years. We had fantastic litter of 7 puppies in 2005 with Mercedes, a keeshond from Litoznicka TVRZ (CZ).

Shortly after that our family emigrated to UK  and Cindy joined us after 6 months due to quarantine restrictions from DEFRA. Luckily she was with my parents during this time and we were living in Scarborough,  England. After registering her with Kennel Club I was contacted by members of North of England Keeshond Club and we were planning shows and possibly breeding Cindy again.Unfortunately due to job commitments we had to postpone our plans as we moved to Orkney (North of Scotland). Cindy was with us until 2013, she was the most caring , devoted dog who looked after my 3 children for over 10 years . Soon after we relocated to the mainland in the North of Scotland.

Our love for the breed was so strong that after a few years we decided to add another Keeshond to the family in 2018.

After deciding to get another Keeshond, We contacted a reputable breeder from Poland . We could not travel to Poland at that time but she agreed to export  a puppy to Scotland only because she had younger sister of our Cindy!  Joy is a bitch imported from Poland from MAG FORCE breeder

After arrival to new home Joy immediately moved to Martyna's room. They are the best pals. Martyna ( now  20 y.o) spends a lot of time with her as she is studying from home. If she is concerned about Martyna she  always alarms us by running back and forth to get our attention. Joy has the most gentle nature but in moment when she feels danger to her pack she can  show her "wolfy" nature. She is full of energy, she loves to run with my neighbours dogs. She also  likes to play and looks after our cat and guinea pigs as well.

Our life is settled now and finally I am in a position where  I can fulfill my dream to be a breeder once again.
