Characteristics of the Keeshond

The playful, affectionate nature with minimal training needed makes the Keeshond an ideal pet. Because of the Keeshond’s thick coat a hot, humid climate is not recommended.

The Keeshond appears larger than they really are because of its full, thick coat.

They have a short, compact body, foxy face with beautiful darker  "spectacles" shown as delicate penciled black lines starting from outer corner of the eye to lower corner of ear.Tail is moderately long , high set and tightly curled over back.Coat is harsh, dense and with soft undercoat  with mixture of grey and black colours.
